01A position changes after it is read.
An IN|SITE assessment describes the organisation on the day it is read. From the next day, the position begins to move. Pages are published and retired, PDFs are added, campaign sites are launched and left behind, suppliers change configurations, and the AI systems reading the organisation change the routes they use.
Each of these can change what AI sees of the organisation without anyone inside it deciding that it should. OVER|SITE follows those changes, so the gap between what the organisation understands of itself and what AI sees can be followed as it changes.
02The 3 levels of detail.
OVER|SITE is the second of 3 levels of detail the Platform provides.
- 01
One-off, point in time
Where you start: AI readiness, misinformation exposure, and what AI can reach.
- 02
OVER|SITE
Ongoing
How the position moves over time, with significant change brought to attention.
- 03
Following on, for action
What to correct, in what order, why, and how to do it.
It builds on the starting position set by IN|SITE, and leads into WORK|PACK when the position calls for action.
03What OVER|SITE follows.
AI Readiness
Is the position moving?
Movement on the AI Readiness Maturity Scale™, read the same way each time, so each reading can be set beside the last.
Misinformation exposure
Is exposure rising or falling?
Change in the likely exposure to misinformation and misrepresentation, and where that change comes from.
Content and infrastructure
What has been added, changed or removed?
New, changed and removed web pages and PDF pages, changes in the content infrastructure behind them, and sites that appear for the first time.
Digital Doorway
Can AI still reach what matters?
Routes that open, close or become prevented, including those that follow a security or infrastructure change made for another reason.
Significant change
What needs attention now?
Significant change flagged, so the people responsible can decide whether to act.
04The change, as the board sees it.
Each month’s reading is set beside the last, so the people responsible see where the position has moved and by how much. On the risk profile, the dotted line is last month and the shaded area is the movement. The change sits beside each count.
AI Misinformation risk across the sector
What AI repeats about an organisation is formed from what the organisation itself publishes. Where that material is outdated, inconsistent or hard for AI to read, AI fills the gap, and the difference between what the organisation knows of itself and what AI presents becomes misinformation.
Low risk
AI is likely to surface accurate information.
Elevated risk
Some of what AI repeats is likely to be incorrect.
High risk
AI Misinformation risk, resulting in ongoing exposure.
Severe risk
AI is very likely to repeat something incorrect.
The same movement is carried into the monthly board summary: where each site stands on the AI Readiness Maturity Scale™ this month, and how many have moved up or down since the last reading.
05In use, across 5 roles.
OVER|SITE is used by people who answer for different parts of the same position. Each takes the readings into a rhythm they already work to.
Head of Digital
Has a release or a supplier change moved our position?
Change across the digital landscape is followed as sites, releases and suppliers change. Where an update closes a route, adds PDFs or raises exposure, it shows in the next reading, with the evidence to set the team’s priorities.
Head of AI
Is the information AI draws on still current and reachable?
The external position sits beside the organisation’s internal AI programmes. As AI systems and their routes change, the readings show whether the organisation’s information remains reachable and current to them.
Insurance broker
Has the insured’s position changed since the last review?
The readings form part of the client review and are included at the annual renewal. The broker holds a consistent record across insureds, and a basis for the conversation on fitness for AI visibility and the exposure of directors and officers.
Agency Account Director
What has moved since the last quarterly review?
The readings form part of the quarterly business review (QBR). Movement since the last review is set out for the client, along with the areas that warrant work next.
The board
Where do we stand this month?
A summary of the position and its movement forms part of the monthly board pack. Directors have a recorded view, month by month, of how AI reads the organisation as it advances and grows.
06Attention, applied where the position has moved.
OVER|SITE runs in the background. The readings are taken, compared and recorded, and significant change is brought to attention. The people responsible see where the position has moved and decide whether action is required.
When action is required, WORK|PACK sets out the detail: what to correct, in what order, why, and how.
07Commonly asked questions.
How does OVER|SITE differ from IN|SITE?
IN|SITE is a single assessment at a point in time. OVER|SITE is ongoing: it carries the same readings forward, sets each beside the last and brings significant change to attention.
Who is it for?
Those who follow the position over time: for example a Head of Digital, a Head of AI, an insurance broker at review and renewal, an agency account director at the QBR, and the board through its monthly board pack.
What counts as significant change?
Change in the readings that alters the position: movement on the Scale, a rise in likely misinformation exposure, routes that open or close to AI, and material additions or removals across web pages, PDF pages and content infrastructure.
How is OVER|SITE provided?
OVER|SITE is a paid, ongoing level, for organisations and partners that want to follow the position over time.
What happens when something changes?
The change is brought to the attention of the people responsible, who decide whether to act. Where they do, WORK|PACK sets out the detail.
Oversight as the organisation advances and grows
Follow the position as it changes.
The people who answer for the organisation’s position keep a continuing record of how AI reads it, with significant change brought to their attention.
