01Why CCDM exists.
An organisation cannot make sound decisions about AI Readiness, access or misinformation exposure without first understanding the information position being presented externally. That position often extends beyond the current corporate website and beyond material known to the central digital team. Those decisions require evidence of the position that actually exists.
CCDM continuously discovers and maps that wider position. It brings together what exists, where it sits, how it is connected and which relevant AI routes can reach or interpret it. Current material, historic information and relevant third-party sources remain within that view as the external environment develops. The result is not a one-off inventory, but the common organisational position used across the AAAnow Platform.
022 parts of the same position.
CCDM considers the information infrastructure and content environment together because neither provides the complete external position alone. Both are required to understand the position presented externally.
Information infrastructure
The information infrastructure covers the systems, routes, structures and sources through which organisational information is created, published, exposed, accessed and maintained. Changes within that infrastructure can alter whether important information remains available through relevant AI routes. A change to an access route can matter even when the published information itself remains unchanged.
Content environment
The content environment includes the information itself: current websites, sub-sites, project and publishing environments, PDFs, historic content and relevant third-party material. Forgotten, superseded or unmanaged content can remain part of the position even when it sits outside the organisation’s current operational view. Its continued availability matters because AI may still be able to find, access or interpret it.
Together, these elements establish what the organisation is presenting externally and the conditions through which AI can reach it. CCDM continues mapping both sides as the environment develops.
03From discovery to organisational evidence.
CCDM establishes the common position used by the Platform’s capabilities. Each capability answers a different question while working from the same outside-in view. The capabilities below all operate through that common position, while their detailed pages explain in full the evidence each provides:
Establishes what exists across the wider Digital Landscape.
Examines whether relevant AI routes can reach important organisational information.
Assesses the position across Foundations, Governance and Visibility.
Adds meaning and benchmark context to the readiness position.
Identifies where information may be missed, misunderstood or inaccurately interpreted.
Supports authoritative information and AI-facing information management.
Discovers, prioritises and converts important documents into machine-readable content.
These capabilities operate through CCDM rather than as separate platforms. ARTYMUS remains part of the infrastructure supporting their operation.
04Where ARTYMUS fits.
ARTYMUS is part of the infrastructure within CCDM rather than the overall Platform itself. First launched in 2023 as AAAnow’s content diagnostics engine, it became the AI Governance framework applied across AAAnow’s operations. Its detailed position within the 2023 system appears on the Schematic page.
The Schematic page contains the wider system background and original 2023 diagram. That diagram remains unchanged as a record of the system at that point.
05The commercial value of continuity.
A manual or one-off exercise starts becoming outdated when the organisation changes a publishing environment, access route or important piece of content. Further changes to publishing environments, access routes and current content can make the recorded position incomplete before the organisation returns to it. CCDM continues discovery and mapping so later activity can work from the developing organisational position rather than commissioning the same discovery again.
Because the Platform and technology already exist, work can begin within days. Fixed costs and defined timelines establish the commitment before the organisation allocates internal resources.
For leaders
That materially changes the value of the exercise.
They gain a continuing basis for decisions about what exists, what AI can reach, how prepared the information environment is and where attention should be prioritised. The evidence remains connected through the overall Platform as the external position develops.
06Commonly asked questions.
What does CCDM mean?
It stands for Continuous Content Discovery and Mapping, and it is the AAAnow Platform. We use it to examine your information infrastructure and content environment from the outside-in.
Why should senior leaders care about it?
Because the position that matters is the one outside your organisation, and it is rarely the one reported internally. It usually reaches past the corporate website, past current content, and past what the central digital team knows about. We establish that external reality, then keep mapping it as content, infrastructure and publishing environments change.
Why does discovery and mapping have to keep going?
Because websites, infrastructure and content carry on changing the moment a review ends. We keep discovering and mapping as those changes happen.
What do you examine?
Infrastructure and content together: the systems, routes, structures and sources your information is published and accessed through, and the information itself. We then map where that material sits, how it is connected, and which relevant AI routes can find, reach or interpret it.
Is this just our corporate website?
Rarely. What we find usually stretches well beyond the current corporate site: sub-sites, project environments, PDFs, historic material and relevant third-party information.
How does CCDM support Landscape Discovery?
Landscape Discovery uses CCDM to establish what exists across your wider environment, including the historic, forgotten or unmanaged corners that sit outside anyone’s day-to-day view and have never been counted as part of the landscape.
How does it support AI Readiness and misinformation work?
Both start from the same external position we have discovered and mapped. AI Readiness assesses Foundations, Governance and Visibility, while AI Misinformation Exposure identifies where your information may be missed, misunderstood or read incorrectly.
Is ARTYMUS another name for CCDM?
No. ARTYMUS is an infrastructure component, first launched in 2023. CCDM is the Platform its capabilities run through.
Is CCDM a one-off assessment?
No. A single assessment records one moment. Continuous discovery and mapping is the whole point: we carry on examining the external position as content, infrastructure and publishing environments change.
Where can we look at the system behind it?
The Schematic page sets out the 25-year background, the infrastructure and the resilience in detail. It keeps the original 2023 diagram exactly as drawn, showing ARTYMUS, KRATOS and the components around them as they stood at that point.
One position across the AAAnow Platform
CCDM keeps the organisation’s information infrastructure and content environment within one continuing outside-in view.
That common position supports the Platform’s capabilities as the external environment changes.
