AI Readiness · the outside-in view
The briefing.
20 minutes of evidence and method, then open discussion: what AI sees when it reads your organisation from the outside, and what that means for the picture the market acts on.
The material is prepared for the call and is on limited distribution. It is not published on this site.
Presently briefings are by invitation onlyWhy you have been invited
Invitations are not broadcast.
Each briefing is scheduled directly, for people whose role carries the question this material answers: how is the organisation represented when AI, not a person, is doing the reading? If an invitation reached you, it is because that question could well sit with you.
You are invited to submit questions ahead of the call. The common questions received, and those to be covered, are shared with attendees before the event.
In the room
What you will hear that you will not read.
The briefing draws on 25 years of outside-in assessment and the work behind the first AI readiness papers. These are the parts that do not appear on this site, or anywhere else the subject is being promoted.
Where AI gets its picture
The basis of the information AI draws on when it describes an organisation: what is read, in what order, and what carries weight.
Why visibility is a false start
AI visibility is widely promoted as the place to begin. It is roughly 12% of the work. The majority is understanding the landscape, and a proven step-by-step method runs in that order.
The PDF problem
AI's consumption of PDF and document data is missed by the vast majority of services promoting readiness. How documents are read, and how to ensure they are accurately surfaced and considered.
What AI cannot see
The stumbling blocks holding organisations back: what AI fails to find, what it misreads, and where the outside-in view diverges from what the organisation believes it presents.
Governance, operated
How governance is implemented and managed in practice, and the services available to automate it, so that what the organisation stands behind is what surfaces.
The watching brief
As more content is created by AI, how to monitor what is being said about the organisation, ongoing, so misrepresentation is caught before it becomes litigation or a regulatory inquiry.
Feedback
What attendees have found of value.
Feedback, what has been of value; comments from attendees.
- The risk, named
- The focus on misinformation and misrepresentation risk arising from outdated or unmanaged content.
- The outside-in view
- Seeing the organisation as AI reads it from the outside, rather than as it believes it presents itself.
- Inventory before optimisation
- Establishing a comprehensive inventory of websites, documents and content assets, the ground to stand on before any GEO optimisation is attempted.
- The prioritisation model
- Prioritising by risk, value and AI readiness, focusing effort where it will have the greatest impact.
- Visibility, in proportion
- The realisation that AI visibility is a small part of the work, and that understanding the landscape has to come first - how can you start with visibility, without confidence in the position.
- PDF to HTML
- A more structured representation of PDF content for accessibility and AI consumption, while maintaining the original PDF experience.
The evidence behind the briefing
The documents that stand behind the position.
Independent of the call itself, the papers the briefing draws on, available to attendees.

Understanding AI Readiness

What happens next
From the briefing to your organisation.
For organisations that want to take the subject further, the follow-up is a private briefing built around you. We set up an example of your own landscape mapping, the foundational service, and walk through the initial results together: where you are today, and how the first part of AI Readiness is dealt with, so you own the conversation about your organisation.
It is an internal briefing to bring your own people to: whoever holds AI governance, whoever holds the brand, and the senior and operations people with questions. Digital leadership belongs there too: they are in the front line when misinformation lands.
The message
How the AI message is going to be controlled, with a baseline of your own AI Readiness and where misinformation is undermining your position.
The governance
How governance is going to ensure what you do is correct. Automation carries the load: a consistent approach applied across the estate, day after day, without depending on anyone remembering.
The market
How you remain competitive in an evolving market: owning your position in the conversation, alerted early to what could undermine it, before the market acts on it.
How it runs
A call, not a presentation.
Before
Please feel free to submit any questions ahead of the call. We try to cover all, and most common ones during the session.
The briefing
20 minutes: the evidence, the method, and the facts about what AI sees and how it sees it. We will ask if you would like it recording.
The discussion
Open questions and answers. The material is on limited distribution, so the discussion can be direct.
Afterwards
The follow-up, set out above: a private briefing for your organisation, walking through an example of your own landscape mapping and its initial results.
The next step
The next step is one of two, depending on where you already stand.
Questions
Before you request an invitation.
What attendees ask ahead of the session.
Who should attend the briefing?
The executive who owns the consequence: CEO, CFO, general counsel or the risk chair, with the digital lead alongside. It is a working session on your sector's exposure, not a product demonstration.
How long is it, and what does it cost?
45 minutes, by invitation, at no charge. Requests are considered and confirmed personally.
Will you look at our organisation before the session?
The briefing draws on sector evidence rather than a private audit of your estate. Where a measured position is wanted, the one-off audit follows the briefing and grades the estate you name.
What happens after it?
2 routes. Organisations that already know where they stand speak to us about their estate; the rest commission the one-off audit to establish the baseline. Neither is assumed: the briefing closes with the choice in your hands.
