AI Readiness · Benchmark · Introduction

You are probably already being compared.
See where you stand.

Buyers, investors and regulators increasingly ask AI before they ask you, and are likely to compare you with your sector while they do it. The AI Readiness Benchmark shows how that comparison comes out, so the board knows before it is told.

A growing share of decisions about your organisation now begins with a question to AI. The answer is often formed, and you may be compared with your sector, before anyone from the organisation has spoken. The benchmark shows the board what that answer looks like, and how it compares.

01The view you probably do not have.

A board knows its numbers, its people and its risks. Many may not know how AI describes the organisation to the people who matter, or whether a competitor is described better. That gap is hard to see from inside, and it rarely announces itself. It can arrive as a buyer who chose elsewhere, an investor holding the wrong figure, a regulator quoting a position you moved away from years ago.

The benchmark puts that view in front of the board, on 1 page, before it has a price.

02Why now.

The shift is well under way. For many people AI is now the first place they go, and its answers are often taken as fact. The organisations it reads accurately are more likely to hold the position they chose. Others risk holding the position AI assigns them, and that position can harden with each answer, so correcting it later may be measured against what the market has already been told.

The cause is yours to fix

79% of misinformation or misrepresentation has the organisation’s own online position as its root cause.

AAAnow Research, Dec. 2023 to Jan. 2026; P&C (human misinformation) 2014 to 2023.

That figure is a strong reason to act. Most of what AI gets wrong about you starts with something you published and can put right, once you can see it. Waiting can leave AI to set it.

03Against the people you compete with.

A position on its own is a number. A position against your sector is a judgement. The benchmark places you among the organisations your buyers, investors and regulators are likely to compare you with, on the AI Readiness maturity scale™, so the board sees at a glance whether it leads, keeps pace or is being left behind.

Placed in MONITOR, the strongest position, you are named. Anywhere else, you learn your position privately, and no one else does.

04What can change.

With the benchmark in hand the board has evidence in place of assumption. It can see whether the organisation can be found, whether it is represented correctly, and how it compares. It can answer a shareholder who asks how AI risk is governed. It can show a regulator it is watching. And it can direct effort to what may be holding the organisation back.

Heard in discussion

“Without the benchmark we were blindfolded, operating at times in self-competing directions.”

Executive, during a private briefing

That is the difference between a board that hears about its AI position and a board that already knows it.

05Where next.

Your sector may already be published, or on the list still to come. In both cases you can see your own position now, ahead of the market and in confidence. For a reading run on your organisation alone, held for the board, there is the Private / Corporate benchmark.
